The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and numerous features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the push of the button. You can select an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot says it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price cost.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is better - its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

For the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones create little noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and move on when it encounters one.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something is in need of attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's some clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first go. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also features a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet high and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to manage it even when not at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the best robot for mopping. Its rotating mop pads scrub away tough stains, and its motor creates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does an excellent job. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that has a range of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It is able to create precise floor maps and robot mop recognize various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are great but they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category which could make it a little more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it to its base station. The control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will bring up the settings menu in which you can modify the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
